The 13th edition of XLR8R+ is upon us—welcome! Bonus MPC sample pack from Keita Sano available with album purchase.
In contrast to last month’s edition, an all-Amsterdam affair, we’ve cast the net wide on this one, with artists coming from Japan, Greece, England, France, and Mexico. Opening is Fluxion, the alias of Konstantinos Soublis, who delivers the first taste of new material in more than 12 months. “Cliff,” a delicious dub techno track, is more upbeat than much of Soublis’ material, and draws from the Greek artist’s love for movie soundtracks. Silverlining’s “Kewakagroove,” a rare digital outing for the much-loved London artist, is more dancefloor-focused. Much like his earlier catalog, some of which demands hundreds of dollars on Discogs, “Kewakagroove” is a stripped-back minimal cut that’s sure to get some playtime this summer. We close this package with our first remix, coming from Redeyes and FD, two label mates on Lenzman’s The North Quarter label. The former turns in a delightful jazz-tinged remix of the latter’s “This Is Now,” originally released in 2017.
As a bonus to this edition, we’ve added a two-part sample pack from Keita Sano, one of contemporary house and techno’s most exciting names. “These beats and loops are for use in your house and disco beats, and I hope you find good use for them,” he says.
Artwork is provided by Mexico’s Diego Madero, with mastering by Kamran Sadeghi.
We thank you for joining our independent movement.
Enjoy the music.

All the tracks are great but Stepper is the standout for me! pounding syncopated kicks, rolling handdrums and playful sample work, dancefloor destroyer. Jack G.
Delightfully manic dance music from British producer Patrick Tipler where worked-up rhythms collide with high-intensity synths. Bandcamp New & Notable Sep 4, 2021

This entire EP is insanely good, but this one would begin a peak hour mix and set the tone for an energetically funky smoked out ride. THANK YOU FOR THESE JOINTS!!!! 💣💣💕💕🔊🔊🔥🔥✊✊💯💯⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ DJ V From CHICAGO
